JINGLE, MINGLE FAMILY DAY
What do you get when you gather all your colleagues and their families together at the end of the year? A Christmas celebration, of course! Novartis held their Christmas-cum-Family Day celebration away from the bustling city, in the tranquil surroundings of ORTO Yishun. Christmas is a time for love and fun with family and friends, and such sights and sounds were aplenty as participants went around the area for the various activities that we had in store.
SCAVENGER HUNT!
Unlike the typical Family Day where the activities centre around food and stage games, we break away from the conventional by having a scavenger-like race with multiple games for all ages. With this competition element incorporated, it increases the level of engagement between colleagues and their family members.
The activities in the Christmas Bingo range from prawning, to drift karting, to something that could be challenging for some, and a piece of cake for others – hugging their boss. Through the activities, they get to bond with their families and their colleagues. Who says you can’t get the best of both worlds?
Participants eagerly greeted the line of food waiting for them at the end of the Bingo race. Shortly after the feast began, the magic show commenced, leaving children and adults alike in wonder and amazement.
The magic show was followed by a series of Christmas themed games by our very own Santa. The crazy antics that participants were put through brought out endless laughter from the audience. A Christmas party is incomplete without a snowman, and at the Novartis Xmas + Family Day, we had three!
The advantage of having a petite colleague is that you get to wrap her up as a snowman when you don’t have a kid in your group. Needless to say, everyone had an awesome time with their loved ones and this event would surely be a sweet (and hilarious!) Christmas memory for years to come.
